PROMPT is a therapy technique for children who have been diagnosed with a speech production disorder.
PROMPT provides tactile touch input to the jaw, face and under the chin (in addition to auditory and visual input) that helps to develop or correct sound production.

What to Expect
Your child’s speech will be evaluated by looking at how the jaw tongue, and lips work as a system to create sounds, words and sentences.
The speech therapist will then determine where your child’s speech becomes challenging.
Based on the findings, an individualized program will be devised to improve your child’s success at speech.
Sessions begin with establishing focused attention.
Session move to establishing communication (non verbal if necessary) and move into requiring sound production when the child is able.
The child then progresses from basic to more accurate and more difficult sound production.
